We envision bringing new life chances, real hope and opportunities to improve the lives of children and teenagers in rural communities
Our mission is to create lasting positive change by improving equitable access to healthcare, enhancing educational outcomes, and empowering women and youth in rural communities. We believe that through our targeted interventions, underserved and vulnerable communities will be empowered for socio-economic growth and national development.
At the center of our vision at the Restored Heart Foundation is to build a just and equitable society in Nigeria and across Africa where every individual, irrespective of social status, tribe, religion or gender enjoys equal access to quality healthcare, education, and opportunities for empowerment. We envision a future where rural communities, especially children, women and youth are equipped to lead positive change for national development.

Nigeria faces a significant mental health crisis. Over 60 million people, or 30% of the population, are estimated to be affected by mental illnesses. The country has the highest prevalence of depression in Africa and ranks 15th globally for suicide frequency. Despite the large population, there are fewer than 150 psychiatrists in Nigeria. To address this crisis, the Restored Heart Foundation has launched the Mental Health First-Aider Fellowship, aiming to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide mental health support to their communities.
